Shear Boutique was born from the same heart and friendship behind Shear Thairapy Salon, a locally owned hair salon in Olney, Maryland built on community, connection, and confidence.
Shear Thairapy Salon began in 2016 when two local moms, Staci and Amanda, turned a shared dream into reality. After first meeting at Sherwood High School and reconnecting years later while working together at a local salon, their friendship grew into a business focused on quality, education, and genuine care for every client.
As the salon grew, so did the vision.
When the opportunity came to move into a larger space, we knew we wanted to create more than just a salon. We wanted a place where women could enjoy a true one-stop experience — get their hair done, refresh their style, and walk out with the perfect outfit to match.
That vision became Shear Boutique, our thoughtfully curated women’s clothing boutique in Olney, MD.
Our boutique was designed to feel personal, approachable, and elevated — carrying modern, wearable pieces that blend trend and timeless style. Every brand and collection is selected with real women in mind, focusing on fit, quality, and versatility for everyday life.
Becki, our boutique manager and buyer — and longtime friend (we all went to high school together!) — plays a huge role in shaping the boutique. With a natural eye for fashion and detail, Becki carefully curates each collection to complement our salon clients and the lifestyle of women in Olney and the surrounding Maryland communities.
